On Tuesday, January 12, 2010, a catastrophic 7.0-magnitude earthquake struck Haiti, killing over 200,000 people.
About 200,000 people were injured, and about 1,000,000 were left homeless.
The magnitude of the disaster is staggering.
And now, we, the world community, respond.
We take the hands of our brothers and sisters in Haiti and we offer them our love and support. And we help them in every way we can: We pray for them. We maintain their plight as a top priority until their healing and rebuilding is complete. And we donate to charities that specialize in disaster relief.
